Peggy Seeger (www.persimmonpaperworks.com) taught the workshop "Introduction to Using Mica in Bookmaking." Above is a photo of our finished books.Participants made exposed spine books with herringbone stitching over tyvek tapes. We cut windows, as shown in the above photo. One student opted to cut strips of mica which more clearly revealed the decorative paper beneath. Mohawk Super Fine paper was used for the text block.
While not everyone had made a book before, everyone was able to complete a rather nice product, I must say.
